Justice for Tom Cholmondeley Delamere

The Delamere Clan has now launched it's own website to support Tom Cholmondeley Delamere .
http://www.justicefortom.com
This website has been created by the close friends and family of Tom Cholmondeley, who is in Kamiti jail in Kenya. The purpose of it is:
To give a voice to Tom and those who know and love him
To publicise what is happening in the trial and Kamiti jail
To give hope and information to those concerned about Tom and his welfare
Tom has been in prison since May 2006, and his trial started in September 2006. His spirits are very low but he is an honourable man and is doing what needs to be done to bring this trial to some kind of conclusion. Being in jail in any country is tough - Kamiti jail is something else. We do what we can to keep him sane - please do what you can to keep him in your hearts and prayers, and help us raise awareness that all might not seem as simple as some stories have made it out to be.
The site is created using blogging software, which simply means that you can ‘talk’ to us using the comments buttons on each page. We encourage you to do so as Tom’s mother, Lady Delamere, and girlfriend, Sally Dudmesh, print and take these messages to Tom when they see him.
Please read through all of the information on the other pages to understand what is happening; the Case page will give you the background and the Posts page will have the latest updates from Team Tom. Please keep coming back to see what is happening

I am sure, the killing of the man was not intended, as he was hit in the buttocks. Some men have suffered more for less though. Think of Thomas Moore, under Henry the eighth. There must be a reason for this terrible ordeal. Don't loose heart.

I am not racist, but why will Tom kill two Kenyans within a period of two years. I am very angry. In my opinion he is very arrogant towards the poor blacks. I hope the same blacks will give him a fair trial.

Tom has done time, 3 years of time for a crime he did not commit. Tom went out of his way to save Robert's life. He feels so much for Sarah and her children. Sarah doesnt want Tom to hang because as she said, she doesnt want his children and spouse going through what her and her children have gone through. Tom is a true Kenyan Citizen in a white skin without a racist cell in his body for those that know him. Simply ask the people that work on the farm, in his house what they think about Tom. They all want him home, they are all fond of him, because he took care of them and their families. I find that the people who judge Tom, the journalists who write in the English papers who sit in their ivory towers sneering at Tom's supposedly happy valley life of drinking and womanising dont ever seem to investigate their stories and obtain the true facts. Do they ever talk to the local Kenyans who know and work with Tom? No, they tend to talk to other whites who dont really know Tom either, or his family. Do they spare a thought for his children? Nah, they write what the public want to read, glitzed up from ancient bygone days of the Happy Valley era which they think still continues to this day, because this is what they percieve without digging very far at all to get to the truth of the matter. Tom needs to get back to work, to take care of the people that work for him, to build the community again and continue with his conservation and farming efforts to create more employment for his fellow citizens.

What do you mean the crime he did not commit? He killed the man, Robert Njoya as he was running away. I have been following this case since 2006. I was even angry of the other killing. He was careless, even though he did not have any malicious intent. I will be happy with the judgement he will be given today because I believe the judge does not care about race, wealth and whatever else is at stake in this case. If he lets him free then fine. The Judge is a wise man. Tom cannot compesate Sarah enough and he should not buy his freedom in exchange of the help he will or could give Sarah. He should do that anyway if he is a kind man as you claim. All the best
